was surfing TV on Sunday when a title caught my eye on the History channel.

"The Nazi Gospels"

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter.  It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth!  was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter.  In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders.  How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison.  To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross.  As a Christian I have no duty to allow my self to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice…  And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows . For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people." - Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

source? why, http://www.evilbible.com/hitler_was_christian.htm. where else?

so naturally i was curious. what would the History channel say about the Christian Nazis?

nothing really.

Christianity was not mentioned in the 30 mins I watched. instead, the show talked about the "Nazi Bible". one where the Nazis believed that Germans were from the Aryan race.. a master race. a word that Adolf Hitler did use ever so often.

the main character other than Hitler? Heinrich Himmler.

The Nazis believed that the Semitic people were the downfall of the Aryan race and sought to eradicate them. the Semitic people, being the Jews, brought about by some interpretation of the bible? of Hitler's own thoughts? God knows. it wasn't mentioned in the show but it's worth looking up on at a later date.

If anything, Aryans were thought of as mythical beings who were blonde, blue-eyed and strong. think Thor.

because Hitler sought to clean up the nations for God, he implemented the Final Solution. for Himmler to carry out. the Holocaust. Himmler, himself, subscribed to the Aryan scriptures. he, too, was interested in Buddhism. unsurprisingly too, I guess. Buddhism did use to be known as the Aryan Path.

As the Nazi Gospels put it, the Third Reich had actually created their own new faith. truth? untruth? it is the History channel. it's full of scholars and historians.

maybe Hitler is the Roman Catholic that he was baptized to be, or a Christian, and all these things about the Nazi Gospels is a simple conspiracy by the Church to denounce all relations with him. (i mean, look at all the psychos we had in the bible. Cain killing Abel and still having some sort of blessings. David, a promising youth being corrupted with power and lust even though God loved him. to me, it just points to the fact that men fail. we are hopeless. we are evil. we are undeserving. but that's not what this post is about.)

maybe Hitler, influenced by his Catholic upbringing, did really create a whole new faith, a cult, for the Third Reich for WW2 to happen.

as with all things, it's time to pick up the history books (Paulo Coelho, i'm sure you'll be patient with me) and start reading again. how terribly exciting. ^-^

in my mood to not work and think about getting fit again (as i so often think of..), i decided to check out the local rowing teams.

alumni training is not working for me now. they train in the morning. i have class from 11.30 am to 1 pm...

Hello Gaelic Dragons and American Dragons!

they train in the afternoons. Sat afternoon rowing sessions with these teams always mean after training drinks. members also enjoy discounts at certain pubs. sounds too good to be true?

it's ok i guess. the annual membership for Gaelic is $100 each year. American Dragons is $250. simply because American Dragons provide the booze for free. guess where your $150 is going to? LOLOLOLOL

i do miss rowing. sigh.

Galaxy S3 purchased thanks to the contract renewal discount...

5% option paid up..

stamp duty settled...

15% left to pay off in November...

eagerly waiting for mortgage loan approval...

thinking of the father-mother loan that needs to be paid up soon...

i don't think i've ever felt more unsettled and settled at the same time.

but that's life, isn't it? looking forward to more excitement in the uncertain times.

now it's time to hunt down a hot Christian Jung Ji-Hoon / Lee Junho / Choi Seung-hyun / Kwon Ji Yong look-a-like. Hohohohoho~

who am i kidding? time to put aside funds for my British shorthaired or Sharpei! ^^

things are getting more and more surreal.

i will finally have the brackets and wires on my teeth by 13 Aug. (no more delays!)

my reporting officer likes and appreciates the work that i do..

and if all things go well this weekend, i will have my house.

omg, i will have my own house.

everything feels like it's falling into place. i'm already checking out cheaper options to furnish the house with in case i do get the place and the future tenant expects basic furniture like a sofa set and bed. Ikea has queen bedframes for less than $200 and www.beds.sg has bed and mattresses promos that are less than $250. sofa sets are pricer but there are cheaper options in the form of sofa beds. and i do want a sofa bed for the future study.

hopefully after this weekend is done, i'll just have to worry about whether i should get a British Shorthair, a Scottish Fold, or a Sharpei. ^^
